Andy Warhol Exhibition

This is me, Dodge and Katrina at the Andy Warhol Exhibition. I had the best time on the day. i learnt so much more about him and i was so excited to see his artworks because he is one of my favourite artists. From the videos and artworks that i read and watched i really got a good insight on what type of person his was. I think that there is a lot more to him then people really think. He is definitely an extremely smart person and really has strong opinions and isn't afraid to make a statement which was very clear when he first released his artwork of the Cambels Soup Can and took a chance at really challenging everyone to what art could be. I think that he really didn't see himself as a celebrity and a lot of people thought that his art was a joke. In some ways he is a very bizarre person in that he was in a way living in a different, surreal world to the rest of us which was brought out in his artworks. From reading most of the papers he had kept and edited he obviously wasn't afraid to criticize and tell people if he thought something was ridiculous or stupid or if he thought someone was an idiot, this probably has a lot to do with why he would say that he was a bit of a loner or and outcast until his fame. Andy Warhol believes that everyone will be famous someday. He said "I like boring things" and this gave me the impression that he really didn't look at himself as a great artist but more just a normal person or a boring person that did something different.

you have obviously been able to read the images and time capsules and interpret warhols personality and the struggles he went through as an artist well done
