Andy Warhol's portrait of Mick Jagger reflects lots of aspects of his personality. For instance the way he appears to be looking at you shows his rock and roll attitude. i think the colours (bright pink) shows how he is very confident and entertaining.I also think that the way Andy Warhol has placed ripped paper around the image is representing Mick Jagger's edgy and jagged personality. This is my favourite artwork.
This is Andy Warhol's "Electric Chair" i am really not sure why i like this artwork so much but it really stood out to me from all the rest. To me i think this is symbolizing something about being alone and because an electric chair could kill you i think it might be something about dying alone. The colour yellow makes it seem very bright and happy but then the red really is quite dark and daunting. I think they might be representing the death and the light of heaven.
This Portrait of Marilyn Monroe by Andy Warhol reflects a lot of aspects of her personality and how she was viewed by people. I think the colours he has used are very bright to represent her as a lively and exciting person. Also he has made her lips red, this could be relating to her reputation as a sex icon and that fact that majority of the country thought she was extremely sexy. The yellow in her hair makes her hair seem very bouncy which reflects her personality traits too. The green in the background may be representing the American money because she was very wealthy. i also think the pose she has been photographed shows her confidence and seduction.
